The Global Vipassana Initiative aims to provide practical meditation training for those interested in Dhamma practice by integrating modern technology into its teaching and training methods. This approach expands access to Vipassana retreats, making them more convenient and inclusive. The programme fosters a clear understanding of the principles and proper foundations of meditation, enabling participants to continue practising independently and correctly.
Designed for modern lifestyles, the programme supports individuals keen to practise but unable to attend in-person retreats at a temple due to family obligations, work commitments, or health conditions. The retreat is conducted online, allowing participants to join from home, with flexible options to undertake full-time practice or combine it with daily work. Participants are required to dedicate at least two hours per day to practice and regularly report their progress to an experienced Vipassana teacher throughout the course. (Read more)
